Turning again to web technology to bring its programming to a larger audience, Sacramento Lutheran Television is now "podcasting" the audio of its weekly devotional segments.
Podcasting is a method of publishing files to the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed and receive new files automatically. It first became popular in late 2004, used largely for audio files.

Visitors to the SLTV.org web site may select a podcast subscription or listen to individual audio segments on demand. As new segments are added, podcast subscribers will receive them automatically. Presently, nine audio segments are available from the second season of Lutherans ALIVE! and more are being added.
SLTV plans to offer additional audio content as well and invites Lutheran congregations and organizations to submit material for consideration. Typical submissions might include recorded sermons, audio "news bytes" and short audio devotionals.
